Absolutely! Make a vat of this stuff if you want. Itll keep in the fridge for quite a while. Id go by the expiration date on the butter you use. The vinegar will likely help it keep longer than that, but using the most perishable ingredient as a guide is a pretty good rule of thumb.
Can you freeze this?
You sure can! If you DO make a vat and decide you probably wont use it in time before it starts growing fur, freezing is a great option.
Can you use another kind of hot sauce to make buffalo sauce?
Yup! Weve successfully used Franks, Cholula, Tapatio, and a few others as well. Just pick one you like on its own and chances are itll make a fantastic buffalo sauce.

Is Old Bay Hot Sauce Worth Buying

Old Bay Hot Sauce Sells Out In An Hour Crashes Website
McCormicks – Get McCormick & Company, Incorporated Report Old Bay seasoning segment got a boost Wednesday after the companys new, limited edition hot sauce product sold out less than an hour after its launch.
The company launched sales on its website around 11:15 AM ET and the hot sauce sold out just around noon. The website also crashed shortly after the launch of the hot sauce.
Old Bay said that it would restock the popular hot sauce once it can.

“I think Old Bay is an American institution and I would buy anything from them. Hot sauce, shoes, car insurance, anything,” Trey Smith of Vice.com told TheStreet. “I’m kind of surprised wasn’t available before. Haven’t got the chance to try it yet but if it tastes as good as the rest of their line up does I hope it sticks around for a long time.”

It was a year ago that McCormicks Old Bay announced that its beloved seasoning was now available in a hot sauce. In a matter of hours, the hot sauce sold out and the brand said that it would be back . Now its back again, but its even better this time, because the Old Bay Hot Sauce is here permanently.
The once limited-edition bottle was designed to go on everything from chicken wings to shrimp cocktail to Bloody Marys. The hot sauce is packed with the spices youd find in the regular seasoning, including celery salt, red pepper, black pepper, and paprika. So it gives you a new way to enjoy your favorite blend.
This time around, the Old Bay Hot Sauce is back permanently, so youll never have to worry on missing out on those limited-edition bottles.
