CHICKEN PENNE PASTA | BERTOLLI CREAMY BASIL ALFREDO SAUCE | HOW TO MAKE QUICK & EASY 15-MIN RECIPE

There are many store-bought Alfredo sauces of good quality and excellent flavors. But theres no guarantee that all of them will suit your needs. They all vary in price, taste and have different ingredients, so it can be hard to pick the right one especially if there are so many options from which to chose.

To find what you really like, you will have to try it out for yourself because everyone has their own tastes, but that doesnt mean that we cant give you some pointers and recommendations.

When buying a jarred Alfredo sauce, choose the ones with real and natural ingredients, including cream, butter, and cheese. Personally, we think that the ones that have a blend of Parmesan and Romano cheese are the best.

Here are my four favorites and what I use all the time because they are affordable and delicious but feel free to try any of the different brands once you know how to elevate a jarred Alfredo sauces flavor, you will not have to worry about which one is the best for you anymore.

Classico: any type of Classico Alfredo sauce is good but my favorite is the four cheese Alfredo or the garlic alfredo sauce. This sauce is rich, creamy and delicious.

Bertolli: Made with aged Parmesan cheese and garlic. This brand is high quality, its thick, rich, creamy, and delicious.

Ragu: Made with reel cheese. Its thick, creamy, and flavorful.

Newmans Own Roasted Garlic Alfredo: The sauce is a little bit light, its not thick but tastes very good.

If you want to know how to make jar Alfredo sauce better, there are so many different things you can do. Add a few different ingredients to take your store-bought Alfredo sauce to a whole new level of deliciousness.

You can enhance the jarred Alfredo sauces flavor thats already delicious by adding more fresh garlic or garlic powder.

Or you can change this creamy white sauce up a bit with ingredients that arent on the list on the back of the jar.

Can You Freeze Alfredo Sauce

Yes, you can freeze any leftover keto alfredo sauce. First things first, you need to make sure that its cooled down before freezing it.

You dont want any air hitting the alfredo sauce, so place it in a Ziploc freezer bag. Lay it flat in the freezer, its a real space saver too.

Store it in the freezer for up to 1 month.

    Type Of Alfredo Sauce

If you will notice from the list of products we have, there are two major types of store-bought sauces: One is jarred and the other one is powder sauce mix.

Jarred Alfredo pasta sauces are generally ready to use. This means that there are no extra preparations needed to add the sauce to your dish. So if you have cooked pasta, you can simply add your favorite Alfredo sauce, mix well to distribute the sauce evenly and thats it. So if you are always on the go or dont have time for long food preparations, jarred sauces are a good choice for you.

On the other hand, powder mixes require more preparation time because you need to mix the sauce powder with water, butter, cheese, milk and other ingredients of your choice. Preparation time to make the sauce can take between 10 and 25 minutes.

Aside from the preparation time, jarred sauces and mixes also differ in their shelf life. While jarred sauces save you time, they can go bad quickly. On the other hand, powder mixes have a very long shelf life.

    Is Alfredo Sauce Keto

In general, alfredo sauce is actually pretty low in carbs. Most jar alfredo sauces only have around 3-4 net carbs per ¼ cup. However, something to keep in mind is that they tend to have thickeners in them like cornstarch.

They come in handy when you are in a pinch, but once you have made a homemade low carb alfredo sauce youll see its much better.

Can I Substitute Milk For Heavy Cream In Alfredo Sauce

There are a variety of different things that you can use to substitute the heavy cream, however, the majority of these ingredients also alter the taste and texture of the dish. Using milk as a replacement for the heavy cream is our favorite option because it does not alter the taste and texture of the alfredo sauce.

How To Make Bertolli Vodka Sauce Recipes

Alfredo sauce forms the basis of many tasty and satisfying recipes. Classic Alfredo sauce is made of just butter, heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Those ingredients combined with pasta make fettuccine Alfredo, an Italian favorite. Jarred Alfredo sauce is quick and easy when you want to make a nice dinner after a busy day. Besides with pasta, you can use Alfredo sauce as a substitute for white sauce in any casserole.

Some of these recipes call for a cheesy pasta sauce. Thats a white sauce that includes other cheeses, usually some form of cheddar. If you cant find jarred cheesy pasta sauce, just heat up a jar of Alfredo sauce and add a cup of shredded cheddar or colby and heat until the cheese melts and the mixture is blended.

How Do You Make Alfredo Sauce From Scratch

    Instructions

  • Add the cream and butter to a sauce pan over medium heat and bring to a simmer.
  • Whisk in the garlic and simmer for 30 seconds.
  • Turn off the heat and whisk in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • Continue whisking until cheese has fully melted and sauce is smooth and creamy.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Variations On The Recipe

There are a few ways you can make this, and you can add or take our ingredients as you wish. It can be made completely without cheese, if you like. You can also add broccoli to it and make Instant Pot chicken broccoli alfredo with jar sauce.

For the broccoli version, just add your broccoli at the same time you add the noodles. This should make your broccoli tender and tasty and cook it all the way through. Its best to dice the broccoli into small pieces so its easier to eat.

Its okay to use frozen chicken as well for this recipe. To make Instant Pot frozen chicken alfredo with jar sauce, you need to thaw out the chicken. You can do that by placing it in the fridge one or two days ahead of time. Or you can defrost the chicken in the microwave or rest it in a bowl of cold water.

When preparing this dish, it is not a good idea to rinse the chicken. Rinsing it is not necessary, and if you do rinse it, you can spread germs all around and cause contamination.

You can make the alfredo sauce yourself, but that will significantly increase the prep time. If you do make your own sauce, you can still follow the directions above and add the sauce at the same point in the recipe for similar results. A homemade alfredo sauce can be more flavorful, but it can also be tricky to make, so its up to you if you want to take the risk.

What Ingredients Are In Keto Alfredo Sauce

    • Butter I always use salted butter, but you can use unsalted if you prefer.
    • Heavy Cream Not only is heavy cream the best for keto sauces, but its perfect for making most kinds of cheesy sauces.
    • Cream Cheese Using a little cream cheese makes a richer keto sauce.
    • Parmesan Cheese This is what takes your keto alfredo a step better, plus tell me something that parmesan cheese doesnt make better.
    • Black Pepper Add more or less depending on your tastebuds. White pepper works just as well too.
    • Nutmeg This might sound like an odd spice to add, but honestly its what gives alfredo sauce its authentic flavor.
    • Garlic I love adding garlic to my keto alfredo sauce. Im so sorry though I forgot to add it in my prep shots. You can leave it out if you arent a garlic fan.
    • Salt Add salt to taste. Depending on how salty you like it, feel free to add some as needed.
