This Chicken Pizza with Creamy Garlic Sauce sure is a family pleaser! This is the white sauce pizza I promised you. This chicken Pizza will have everyone going back for seconds! I used the same crust as the California pizza.
You may have noticed my recipe posting is a little slow. Four classes in summer keeps me on my toes and the first two weeks of it have been a whirlwind. Hope you like the pizza we sure did!
Which Pizza Toppings Are Best With White Sauce
I would say just about any toppings are delicious over a white sauce pizza, but our favorites include:
- Cheese: shredded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, parmesan
- Meats: chicken, crispy bacon, ham, pancetta, pepperoni
- Vegetables: artichoke, tomatoes, jalapenos, spinach, roasted garlic, banana peppers, black olives, fresh spinach, mushrooms, roasted bell peppers
How to Store Sauce:
To store, let the sauce cool to room temperature then transfer to a Tupperware or mason jar, cover, and refrigerate up to 5 days. The sauce will thicken more as it cools, but will still be creamy enough to easily spread over pizza dough. If you wish to thicken the sauce, you can rewarm slightly in the microwave just until spreadable.
Pro Tip: A cream sauce is best refrigerated and not frozen or separation may occur.
This is so much better than the white sauce in pizza chains and I hope it becomes a new favorite for you. It reminds me of creamy alfredo pasta!
Prep The Sauce While The Dough Is Rising Since It Will Need Time To Cool Down:
1. Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in 2 Tbsp flour until well mixed.
2. Gradually whisk in 1 1/4 cup milk. Next, add 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp pepper, 2-3 cloves minced garlic and 2 Tbsp fresh basil.
3. Mix in 1/4 cup parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is well blended.
4. Remove from heat. It will thicken more as it stands.

1) The best whole wheat pizza crust recipe in existence.
2) The magic of pizza stones.
Tools For Making Garlic Butter Sauce:
Heavy Bottom Sauce Pan this will be one of your most used kitchen tools. Having something that is heavy bottom will distribute heat better and prevent burning whether you are using an electric or gas range.
Ramekins I like giving folks their own individual sauce cups. Then you dont have to worry about double dipping! Ramekins are also great for ingredient preparation and baking mini soufflés.
Whisks I buy whisks in multiple sizes. You never know which one you will need
- Combine butter, garlic powder and fine sea salt in a small sauce pan.
- Stir and heat until melted. Serve.

Serve the sauce while it’s still warm for the best possible flavor.

Melt The Butter For This Papa John’s Garlic Sauce Copycat Recipe
Once your ingredients for this Papa John’s garlic sauce copycat recipe are ready to go, simply place the butter in a small saucepan and heat to medium heat, allowing the butter to melt completely. It’s a good idea to stir the butter as it melts to prevent it from getting too hot. Butter has a low smoke point, and it can burn if you’re not careful. When in doubt, turn the heat level down to prevent this from happening.

To make this white pizza sauce recipe you will need to:
Health Benefits Of Garlic
Garlic is a perennial that belongs to the liliaceae family. Other members of this family include leeks, chives, spring onions and shallots, and they all have a very strong flavour. Garlic is one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world, and it has many health benefits and it has been used as medicine for a long time.
Garlic is a good source of vitamin B6 and C, as well as manganese and selenium. It is also a good source of minerals, including calcium, phosphorous, potassium, iron and copper.
Many of the health benefits from garlic are thought to come from its active ingredient allicin, which is what gives garlic its distinct taste and smell. Chopping or crushing garlic actually stimulates the production of allicin, however it is thought that cooking actually prevents some of the medical properties. So, thats why garlic is great in this sauce, because it is crushed but not cooked.

Creamy Garlic And Dill Pickle Pizza
Creamy garlic sauce, dill pickles and cheese make this amazing dill pickle pizza. Dont knock it til you try it its garlicky and delicious!
Okay, so if youve been here a while you know that Im no stranger to pizza. I love it. If I could have it every day I would.
Sauce, cheese, bread. You just cant go wrong.
So when that video of dill pickle pizza went viral on Facebook, my friend Ashley challenged me to make one. Not gonna lie pickles on pizza? I was hesitant. I had a cheeseburger pizza once and wasnt a fan .
But garlic sauce, dill pickles and cheese actually sounds pretty great and spoiler alert it is!
There are two important things about this recipe, the dough and the sauce. These can be made ahead of time and using store-bought dough is totally fine, though I recommend making the garlic sauce from scratch . Its so important to the overall flavor and Id hate for a lackluster sauce to ruin it.
Check the bottom for doneness it should be golden and dry
In the recipe below, I give the directions for baking my pizza dough recipe. However, if you use store bought, go with their baking directions.
I also suggest draining the pickles and patting them dry before putting them on the pizza. Getting rid of the extra vinegar gives the pizza a much more pleasing and complex flavor than just a pickle explosion.
I think youre really gonna like this one! Give a shot and tell me it doesnt completely blow your mind.
Until next time. X

How Dipping Sauce For Pizza Became Oddly Necessary
It was just a short time ago that dipping pizza in ranch was the Great Debate, with many claiming that the act was an abomination to pies everywhere. Now, the ranch-pizza combo is an integral part of the pizza experience its even found on the menus of many sophisticated restaurants.
But its important to ask how something that elicits such an emotional response from diners became a mainstream option so much so that before you hit the place order button in your delivery pizza app, youre probably adding a couple cups of dipping sauce to the list. Americas four largest pizza chains Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, and Dominos all offer ranch along with a variety of dips on their menus, tiny upsells that contribute to the $45.15 billion in pizza restaurant sales in 2016. But how did we get here?
It Starts With Breadsticks
According to Saint Josephs University professor of food marketing John Stanton, asking Which came first, consumer demand or restaurant upsell? is like saying Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Its impossible to know, but in food marketing, products tend to become popular because of both consumer demand and restaurants looking to increase profits. All companies are always looking for something new, a different edge, Stanton says. If becomes something that people will pay for and expect, eventually youll see it in more places.

Creamy Garlic Pizza Sauce Is A Pizza Game Changer It Takes A Ho
One of the things I love about this sauce is that it is so versatile. I can use it on my pizza of course, but I can also use it on pasta as an Alfredo substitute, or on flatbread topped with red onions and arugula. Just like my experimentation with pizza toppings as a teenager, I still like to mix things up and find unusual combinations. That led me to making a smoked BBQ chicken pizza with Creamy Garlic Pizza Sauce. Oh my gosh is this good!
To make my smoked pizza, I started by making a homemade pizza crust. Once I had it like I wanted it, I put it on my Traeger Smoker to cook. Many people dont know you can actually cook your pizza dough on a bbq or smoker and it is fantastichello, wood-fired pizza!!
Once my pizza crust was cooked, I removed it and then topped it with the Creamy Garlic Pizza Sauce. I had made 2 Smoked Spatchcock Chickens on my Traeger Smoker earlier in the week, so I shredded the chicken from one of those and mixed it with bbq sauce. Once this was mixed, I generously topped the white pizza sauce with the chicken and spread that out over the top. Then, I topped that with grated mozzarella cheese and a little more parmesan and put it back on the smoker to melt the cheese and get piping hot and. Once it was off the smoker, I topped with with my 20 Minute Pickled Jalapenos for some heat. This was delicious!
