Moving on from the 2004 version to the 2019 reboot adaptation of the same name , the marketing team behind the latest film went through great lengths to re-introduce the live-action version of the character to modern audiences in a new, fresh way.

How He Got The Hand
Hellboy did not always have the Right Hand of Doom, in that he did not waltz out of hell with it upon birth, nor did he moonwalk out of the womb with it attached to his arm. Who The Hand Originally Belongs To
While Azzazel was indeed the one who gave Hellboy his trusty, special hand and crafted it himself, the actual hand originally belonged to one Anum, a spirit created by God to watch over the earth as an actual Watcher.

However, he used his privilege for evil when he used the hand to steal some of God’s own power, using it to create the creature known as Ogdru Jahad. For this betrayal, Anum was destroyed by his fellow spirits, sparring only his hand. How Azzazel got his hand is unclear.
Where Is The 2004 Prop
While we are on the subject of the 2004 film adaptation starring Ron Perlman and how the film went about treating the Right Hand of Doom, now may be a good time to bring up how they ended up treating the prop in real life.
When all is said and done after a Hollywood production comes to an end, every movie prop has some sort of a shelf life or afterlife, so to speak. But where did the Right Hand of Doom go after it overstayed its welcome? Currently, the Hand can be found at the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame.

People Have Tried To Steal It
You would be hard-pressed to find anyone on the planet willing to take a chance on trying to mess with a mean mug like Hellboy, but judging from the comics, just about everyone has tried to mess with his Right Hand of Doom.
There are multiple instances of people trying to take the doom-bringing hand, but one of the more infamous comes in the story The Third Wish. In this two-parter, Hellboy finds himself at the bottom of the ocean where he is captured by the Bog Roosh, who goes out of his way to try to dismember and separate Hellboy from his Hand, understanding the damage it can do if his destiny is fulfilled. Even if it means killing Hellboy, he’s determined to get that Hand. Who else could try to take the Hand next?

Believe it or not, as much as Hellboy does not want to have the Right Hand of Doom, The Hand does not necessarily need to be attached to Hellboy for it to work, as it will still be able to perform its own tasks.

Hellboy The Right Hand Of Doom Hot Sauce
OK. Be warned, this is hot.
As a fan who likes trying all kind of new sauces and other hot products, I gotta say this is uncomfortably hot. It’s the only sauce I don’t share with anyone, unless I’m a 100% certain they are comfortable with really hot foods, and are aware this sauce is by far hotter than any other sauce I have. A drop burns like a table spoon of my second hottest sauce! Be warned.
Gift for hubby…. da bomb… loved it! Popcorn and peanuts were beast!! Definitely will be reordering . Thanks.

He Wants To Cut It Off
The lore of the Right Hand of Doom runs so deeply that it even spawned its own comic book story of the same name. In Hellboy: The Right Hand of Doom, we see our title character talking to the son of Malcolm Frost about his history, ranging from his “birth” in New England to his integration into the BPRD.
