CHICKEN TERIYAKI

goes well on meat, veggies, and seafoodsweet and salty, tangy and thick, all at the same time

  • ¾cuplight brown sugar
  • 1tbspcornstarch
  • Turn the heat to medium and add all ingredients, except the water and cornstarch, to a small saucepan. Stir vigorously until the sugar has dissolved and the Teriyaki Sauce is mixed evenly.
  • Add the water and cornstarch to a small bowl and stir to combine. This prevents the formation of cornstarch lumps. Then, take 3 tablespoons of the Teriyaki Sauce from the pan and add it to the cornstarch mixture. Stir to mix.
  • Once it is combined, add this mixture from the bowl to the saucepan, whisk it, and maintain on the heat until the sauce thickens. Keep a close eye on the sauce as it could simmer very quickly so be ready to turn down the heat at any moment. It might take from 5-10 minutes depending on the size of the saucepan youre using. Once youve reached the right thick texture, remove the Teriyaki Sauce from the heat and leave it to cool.
  • Once cooled, pour it into a bottle or an airtight container and use it on grilled or fried veggies and meat. They will taste as nothing you have tried before!

Keep The Health Aspect In Mind

As a home cook, some factors should be considered when deciding on the best sauce to buy for stir fry meals. These are whether or not the sauce is healthy, how tasty it is, and its ease of use.

When it comes to deciding whether or not a sauce is healthy, there are ways that you can make sure apart from reading the ingredients labels. First, choose 100% brewed sauce. Traditionally brewed sauce usually takes months, even years, to make. It is time-consuming with high cost, but the stir fry sauce will be healthier and more delicious.

Because they contain extra salts, sugars, and preservatives to make them taste fantastic, sauces tend to be higher in calories than most other ingredients in the stir fry. Always read the ingredients carefully when you go shopping for sauces. Brewed sauces usually contain water, salt, soybean, Faber bean, and wheat.

Easy Chicken Teriyaki Bowl

Learn how to make an easy Teriyaki Chicken Bowl with rice and vegetables. This is an easy recipe that doesn’t take long to make. It’s great for dinner, or you can make it ahead for meal prep for easy lunches and dinners during the week.

I like to make this teriyaki chicken bowl recipe when I’m craving take-out because it’s a lot lighter and healthier, but it has all of the flavors to satisfy the craving. Plus, it’s ready in the time it takes to order and pick up take-out, making it great for weeknight dinners.

The base recipe for the chicken teriyaki is only six ingredients. I like to use chicken tenderloins because they cook fast. I also cook them in a lot less oil, so the dish doesn’t end up greasy. It’s tossed in a simple sauce that’s tangy and a little sweet.

For the sauce, I skip homemade teriyaki sauce and buy it bottled. It tastes just as good and is so much easier. I keep it on hand because it’s great for this dish, and I use it as a marinade for grilled steak kabobs and chicken.

To that, you can add your favorite vegetables and cooked rice. I like to serve it with carrots and broccoli, but any stirfry vegetable you like will work.

It’s so simple but delicious. It’s a go-to at our house whenever we’re craving a chicken rice bowl.
