They’re hot peppers from Africa and are used in both African and Portuguese cuisine.In our recipe, we use a blend of Thai red chilis and fire-roasted peppers. This gives our peri peri recipe a bold depth of flavor with a nice kick.
Are peri peri and piri piri the same?
Yes, they are! You’ll hear this sauce referred to as both “peri peri” and “piri piri”. They are the same and can be used interchangeably.
What does it taste like?
Peri peri sauce is garlicky, spicy, tangy, and so fresh!
How spicy is it?
It’s nice and spicy! We remove the seeds from our chili peppers before blending the sauce, which cuts down on the spice level a little bit. If you want it spicier, leave them in.
