Every Mcdonald’s Dipping Sauce Ranked Worst To Best
McDonald’s chicken nuggets and fries are tasty in their own right, but they’re totally elevated when you pair them with dipping sauces. It’s part of the fast-food experience it’s a ritual to frantically figure out the right types and amount of sauces for everyone in your car to order at the drive-thru window. Without a dipping sauce like ranch or honey mustard by its side, a chicken nugget is just sad and longing for a flavorful partner.
Any McDonald’s expert knows that it’s all about the sauce. They know how to hack the menu to get as many sauce packets as possible and don’t limit themselves to dunking just nuggets. Fries, chicken sandwiches, burgers, and more are elevated with a little swipe of tangy sauce. McNuggets may have a questionable past, but the colorful dipping sauces are their saving grace.
We decided that it’s only right to do a definitive ranking of all the dipping sauces that McDonald’s has to offer. Ketchup and mustard are not included, considering those are pretty standard whether you’re at McDonald’s or not. We did include a few discontinued sauces, as McDonald’s has a habit of sprucing up its menu with limited-time-only blasts from the past.

The Garlic Pepper Spicy Chicken McNuggets include chicken nuggets that have been battered in breading seasoned with black pepper and garlic, in addition to white peppers as well as chili peppers. It all adds up to a McNugget with some serious kick.
The first of the new sauces is a Garlic Soy Sauce Mayo Sauce that is made with soy sauce, garlic and black pepper as well as onion powder and sesame seeds. The other is Smoked Cheese Sauce that includes a blend of smoked and cheddar cheese with onion powder and black pepper.
As was mentioned before, the new Garlic Pepper Spicy Chicken McNuggets are currently only available in Japan. Hopefully theyll give them a test run here but for now if you really want to try them, pack a bag and buy a plane ticket.

New Mcnugget Sauces From Mcdonald’s
McDonald’s recently expanded its line of McNugget sauces beyond the basic Sweet & Sour, Tangy Barbecue, and Hot Mustard to include Chipotle Barbecue, Sweet Chili, Spicy Buffalo, Creamy Ranch, and Honey Mustard. I haven’t eaten nuggets since I was a kid, so I enlisted the help of certified Nugget-head Robyn in an eight-way nugget sauce taste-off. Here’s what we thought.
By the way, if you want to dip without getting your fingers greasy, you can play the McNugget Saucy Challenge on the McDonald’s site. It’s basically a game of Simon. What’s truly frightening is that someone by the name of Nathan S. Managed to score 2415 in that challenge . That’s over an hour of solid dunking. Whoah.
Mcdonalds Mcdonalds Dipping Sauces
The “McDonalds Dipping Sauces” aren’t actually one of the McDonalds “secret menu” items but they aren’t exactly out in the open either. If you order the Chicken McNuggets at McDonalds you are usually asked if you would like BBQ sauce with them. But, they seldom offer you the wide range of sauces that they have available, unless of course you know the McDonalds secret menu and can ask for your favorite variety of McDonalds Dipping Sauces. In addition to the regular BBQ sauce, the McDonalds Dipping Sauces include: Sweet and Sour, Honey Mustard, Chipotle BBQ, Tangy BBQ, Spicy Buffalo, Sweet Chili, Hot Mustard, and Creamy Ranch. You won’t find that whole list anywhere on the regular menu at McDonalds. If you haven’t tried one of these McDonalds Dipping Sauces, take a chance by asking for one from McDonalds Secret Menu. In our opinion, the McNugget Dipping Sauces are not as well known as they should be, that’s why we are here to let you know. So, when ordering you McNuggets, don’t forget to ask for your favorite of the many McDonalds Dipping Sauces!

The Secret Behind Mcdonald’s Sauces
Not only did Chef Arend create the legendary McNugget, but he also changed the way Americans viewed sauces. He tested hundreds of sauces and narrowed them down to four to be served alongside the McNugget when it launched: mustard sauce, sweet and sour, honey sauce, and barbecue. The sauces all went to market served in a dipping cup that is perfectly sized to fit a nugget.
Today, a variation of those four sauces are still available, plus Buffalo and ranch.
Whether you dip your McNuggets or not, the idea to serve sauces alongside the chicken nuggets so everyone can have a different tasting experience is brilliant.

Make the dry and wet tempura batter!
- The best part about this recipe that makes it so easy is the dry batter becomes the wet batter just by adding ice water ultimate life hack that saves you so much time and effort. The dry batter is first used to bread the shaped chicken nuggets. Then the nuggets go in the freezer to firm up. Now we can add our ice water to make our tempura batter to the dry breading. You want your batter to be thin so it is easy to coat.
Last step, FRY!

The History Of The Mcnugget
Originally, McDonald’s was a burger and fries joint. As the fast food restaurant wars began to rage between McDonald’s, Burger King, and Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald’s CEO, Ray Kroc, quickly realized the menu needed to expand.
Kroc added things like the Big Mac, the Filet-O-Fish sandwich, and the Egg McMuffin to McDonald’s lineup, which all became menu hits. However, in 1977, the Senate released its first set of dietary guidelines that recommended Americans reduce their consumption of red meat which was bad news for Mickey D’s whose menu was primarily made up of burgers.
McDonald’s had a trick up its sleeve, though: a gourmet chef named René Arend. Kroc hired Arend to innovate McDonald’s menu. After the new guidelines began hurting McDonald’s business, Arend was tasked with creating a new menu item that didn’t include red meat.
Arend suggested fried chicken, but KFC was already dominating that market. He suggested chicken pot pie, but Kroc wanted something that customers could eat on the go. At first, Chef Arend created something called the onion nugget, but it was a miss. Finally, Chicken McNuggets were introduced to the menu in 1983. Arend, and a team of culinary specialists, figured out a way to create a deboned, bite-sized chicken nugget, which became the McNugget that we know and love today.
