Pickapeppa is made in Shooters Hill, Jamaica, near Mandeville. The ingredients are cane vinegar, sugar, tomatoes, onions, raisins, sea salt, ginger, peppers, garlic, cloves, black pepper, thyme, mangoes, and orange peel, aged in oak barrels. The sauce is sweet, sour and mildly spicy.
The classic Jamaican Sauce! Pickapeppa Sauces sweet, mellow flavor of cane vinegar makes it a perfect complement to almost any dish from appetizer to entrée to dessert.
It has been called Jamaican Ketchup, in tribute to its range of uses. For soups, fish, meat dishes and game roast For cheese dishes, seafood, salads, and gravy.

So, what is Pickapeppa sauce? Pickapeppa sauce is a Jamaican condiment and the signature sauce of the Pickapeppa Company brand. It is sweet, sour, tangy and somewhat spicy in taste. This sauce is also known as Jamaican Ketchup.
This is actually a sauce with a very interesting history.
Developed all the way back in 1921, by a young innovative teenager cooking in his familys kitchen in Shooters Hill, Jamaica.
Well, at least according to the tale.
It was soon to become the desired formula, the latter being adopted by the Pickapeppa Company.
And the rest they say, is history.
Since then, many copycat recipes have arisen and the company has developed a number of unique variations on the original recipe.
But it is the traditional Pickapeppa sauce that reigns supreme, even to do this day.
