Happy Thursday..most of your work weeks are almost over and mine will be starting tonight..boo. As much as I enjoy the couple nights a week to get out of the house aloneand as much as I HATE leaving my little man for any reason, sometimes I wish the couple nights I left werent to go to work but to actually enjoy some alone timeshopping, dinner, even a drink haha Cest la Vie! I wouldnt trade this handsome little munchkin for ANYTHING!
This was the first time Ive made homemade BBQ Sauce..and all I can say is what the hell was I waiting for?! This stuff is like liquid crack. I havent been able to stop eating it by the spoonfuls for two daysIm not even joking! Im obsessed with it! I made it initially for these crazy burgers.. and since then have used it on sandwiches, mini chicken bites, to spoon into my mouthand the ideas popping into my head to just gobble it right up are endless! I will NEVER buy store-bought again, this was to easy and the end result is just far to amazing! You are welcome!

Theres a part of me that begs for an answer to this question: has Wendys ever attempted a barbecue-style chicken sandwich?
I know its attempted a mighty tasty barbecue burger in the past I reviewed it right here a couple of months ago. But, as I purchased my Wendys Barbecue Chicken Sandwich and carried it to my seat, I definitely felt as if the Mandela Effect had taken hold of my memories I just wasnt for sure about it anymore.
I remember thinking how much I truly enjoyed the barbecue burger, especially Wendys dedication to the perfection of a delicious faux-BBQ sauce. Its usually the one roadblock many fast food eateries hit when trying to perfect their monthly specials. Well, it was only a matter of time before Wendys spread it lovingly across its wealth of chicken if it hasnt before.
There are three chicken choices are homestyle, spicy, or grilled. I chose a grilled fillet, for moderations sake, of course. With the added slice of Muenster cheese, crispy fried onions, and three perfect pickles, I feel the sandwich would be a triumph, but with a full dollop of Wendys Kansas City-style barbecue sauce, it becomes more of a testament to taste.
Meanwhile, the bedeviled fried onions do their jobs as mere pawns in this tasty game of complete control.
So I guess Ill give it a nine, ese. Cómpralo ya!

What Are The Wendys Sauces
Wendys sauces are some of the best around. The hot honey sauce is made with real honey and habanero peppers, and it is equal parts sweet and heat. The ghost pepper ranch is also very spicy, and the BBQ sauce is a little sweet. The sweet & sour sauce is Asian-inspired and has a delicate balance of sweet, fruity, and tangy flavors. The honey mustard is also very tasty, and the buttermilk ranch is a great dipping sauce.
Mcdonalds Tangy Barbeque Sauce
Honestly, we were surprised to see the golden arches finish so low. While the sauce isnt terrible, its just not great. We will say that it lives up to its name, and is indeed tangy. Ultimately, we were expecting more from the largest restaurant chain on our list.

Sixth Place: Publix Original Bbq Sauce
When I first poured Publixs Original Barbecue Sauce over the chicken thighs, I couldnt help but notice how watery the consistency was. I had very low expectations here but after some time in the oven, I loved how the Publix sauce caramelized on the chicken. The result was a beautiful glaze. Unfortunately thats where the sauced peaked. The flavor itself was decent but reminded me of the barbecue packets youd get at a fast-food restaurant. Not offensive, but not exactly the best sauce around. Additionally the flavor of the barbecue didnt penetrate into the chicken resulting in a lot of seasoning on the skin and bland meat.
Arbys Tangy Bbq Sauce
We started out on a rough foot with this sauce. The packaging was not ideal, and the top foil was the cheapest we encountered all day. Despite some mess, this grainy-textured barbecue sauce cracked our top 3, flaunting a tangy spin on a traditional sauce.

Barbecue sauce is one of the greatest condiments ever created. Its versatile, customizable and readily available at any grocery store near you making it convenient. But with the myriad of brands promising that pitmaster approved flavor, it can feel impossible to pick just the right pre-bottled sauce.
Of course, its totally possible to whip up your own classic barbecue sauce at home, but if youre feeling a little less ambitious , there are perfectly suitable pre-made versions that taste exactly you carefully measured ingredients in your own kitchen.
The only downside here is that, with what seems like countless options lining the shelves at the grocery store, which brand of bottled barbecue sauce is actually the best? Luckily Ive spent a fair amount of time diligently testing six different major brands and after tasting sauces all afternoon, Ive found a winner. Each sauce was poured on top of chicken thigh that were seasoned with salt and pepper and then roasted on a baking sheet in the oven at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes. The results varied, but one sauce came out on top.
Runner Up: Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce And Dip
Holy smokes, literally. Krafts Original Barbecue Sauce and Dip blew almost every other brand out of the water. This sauce has a powerfully smokey flavor that can more than hold its own on the flames of a hot grill or in the oven. The sauce coated the chicken thighs beautifully and the flavor penetrated into the actual meat. It was the sauce I had a hard time stopping myself from eating. Its a surprisingly solid choice.

It makes sense that they charge you 53 cents for this 2 oz, vat of barbecue sauce, as it was double the size of all the other sauces. With a hint of tequila, were not the biggest fans of this unorthodox barbecue sauce. Save the tequila for margaritas, please.

The ranking here shocked me. This is the sauce my family uses to make my favorite baked beans, ribs and steaks. I truly believed that Sweet Baby Rays Barbecue Sauce would be the clear winner but it wasnt. Dont get me wrong, Sweet Baby Rays sauce is delicious. The sauce hugged the meat like a thick jam in the best possible way. The smokey flavors are balanced with a nice brown sugar-y note that makes for one decent cue sauce, but there are other brands that just do it better.
