Starting With A Problem
Jamie remembers always having an entrepreneurial spirit. As a kid, she used to save her Halloween candy and make lists of the items, thinking she might be able to re-sell it later. It reminded me of my childhood attempts at profits with a lemonade stand On a rural dirt road in Minnesota.
But before she found her true entrepreneur path, Jamie was a waitress at Dennys and even sliced deli cheese through college. Through her college coursework, she fell in love with journalism and hearing other peoples stories.
Her early career was as a TV news anchor and she thought thats what shed do forever. That is, until she faced a big problem in her personal life and she couldnt find a solution. Jamie felt this was her entrepreneurial call to answer.

Cook The Onion & Burgers
First, form two patties and season with salt and pepper. Let the meat get to room temperature or close enough to it if youre impatient!
Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium to medium-high heat. Add the rest of the onion and cook until browned and softened. Dont forget to season with salt and pepper. Once theyre your preferred color, place them to the side on a plate.
In that same pan you cooked the onions in, heat some oil on medium-high heat. Add your patties and cook on each side for 3-5 minutes. If you can get a nice crispy crust on the outside, thats even better!
Once you flip the patties, add your cheese and let it melt while the second side cooks. While your patties are cooking, toast your buns.
Now its time to assemble and eat! Place your bottom bun on the plate and top with a generous amount of special sauce. Place your cheeseburger down on top and top it with the onions. Top with some more sauce and your top bun and ENJOY!
