Directions For How To Make Jar Alfredo Sauce Better
Im sure there are plenty of ways to do this, but Ive found this to be the easiest way.
Feel free to switch out the ingredients to ones you prefer.
I believe that the best flavors are the ones you and your family like.
I also highly recommend choosing just a few of the above ingredients to test the first few times.
Pour the jar of Alfredo sauce into a medium saucepan and turn the burner to medium-high heat.
As soon as you see a couple of bubbles, turn it down to medium-low heat.
Now start adding the ingredients you like.
I highly recommend sautéing the onions if you choose chopped onions as one of the ingredients because that brings out the flavor.
I used all dried seasonings because thats what I had. But if you have access to fresh ingredients, I highly recommend using those.
My pepper mill is still packed , so I used already ground pepper.
Fresh ground pepper is much better. Or you can use white pepper.
I added chopped chicken that I cooked earlier to make chicken Alfredo.
If you dont have fresh cooked chicken, you can use the canned version.
After its added to the cream sauce with the other ingredients, you probably wont be able to tell the difference.
When Im in the mood for seafood, I might use either shrimp or scallops instead of chicken. Both are good. Try using a variety of different proteins to see which ones you like.
As you add ingredients, you may want to turn the burner up to medium heat to keep the sauce hot.

Pasta dishes, whether meat sauce or white sauce, have become a tradition in the family. Growing up as a kid, I always request from my Mom to cook her pasta dishes. And now, Im following my mothers footsteps, as she passed down her pasta recipes to me.
You can say that we are big pasta lovers that its always a part of our menu every other week, if not every week. Mind you, the husband requests we have spaghetti each week or at least alternate red and white sauce pastas. So it has become my goal to look for tried and tested easy pasta dishes that I can add to my mothers recipes. So I can contribute to the pasta recipes that well be passing on to our future generations just like Ragu founder, Assunta Cantisano, who turned her authentic Italian blend into a true American sensation.

A couple years ago I started making Blackened Chicken Alfredo and its become a real family favorite. Using store-bought blackening seasoning, coat boneless, skinless chicken breasts and saute them for about 15-20 minutes in a little butter and/or olive oil. Slice them into thin strips and add them to a plate of alfredo pasta. You can also add sauteed broccoli and/or spinach.
If youve ever been to the Rainforest Cafe, they have this wonderful dish called Rasta Pasta. Its loaded with chicken strips, broccoli, red peppers, and spinach. The sauce is a mixture of basil pesto and alfredo sauce. If youve never tried this combo, youre in for a treat because its incredible!! Just add equal parts basil pesto and this alfredo sauce to hot pasta, toss, and serve with veggies and meat .
But pasta isnt the only thing you can serve this alfredo with! Remember those Olive Garden Style Breadsticks I made a few months back??? My absolute favorite thing to do with alfredo sauce is dip breadsticks in it!! It is SO GOOD!!!
