    In a multi cooker on high , sprinkle on garlic salt or salt and pepper to taste. Crumble ground beef and Italian sausage and cook until no longer pink. Drain fat from meat.

    Return to slow cooker or pot. Add in jarred sauces, pizza sauce , garlic, red wine, sugar and stir. Add salt & pepper to taste.

    Cover with lid and cook in slow cooker for 8 hours on low or 4 to 5 hours on high.

    If cooking on stovetop, Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and cook until warm. I like to cook at least 1 hour to develop flavor a little more.

    Also, we dont add any salt to the sauce, as there is a substantial amount in the Franks. But you can adjust to taste if youd like.

    A splash of white wine to the onions before adding the tomatoes is also great.

    I add it to my homemade sauce. So much flavor!

    Sauté some onions, bell pepper, garlic and/or ground beef. It’s a step up from canned sauce but less work than making sauce

    Whole tomatoes are a must. Dont even have to be San marzano. Of all the canned tomato varieties , the whole tomatoes are the highest quality. The lower quality tomatoes get crushed, diced, or puréed. If you like the crushed or puréed texture, buy them whole and do it yourself. Unbelievable difference in flavor
