Adding another dimension of heat, Crazy Jerry has included mustard seed and mustard oil to layer with the pepper extract. The result will ignite your nose hairs, taste buds and anything else you let come in contact with it. How Can You Thicken Hot Sauce
There are two ways to thicken hot sauce. You can bring it to a slow boil over medium heat, uncovered, and let any excess water evaporate. Once the hot sauce cools down, it will be slightly thicker.
The other option is to add a thickener, like cornstarch or arrowroot powder. Mix 1 teaspoon of cornstarch or arrowroot with 2 teaspoons of water for each cup of hot sauce and then stir into the sauce over medium heat. Continue stirring for about 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and allow to coolâthe sauce will thicken even more once it cools.

Last Dab Chile De Arbol Special Edition
The final new Hot Ones hot sauce is a mild version of the Last Dab using Chile De Arbol peppers. This sauce allows us to enjoy more of the delicious flavor of the Last Dab without having to have a glass of milk on standby.
The Chile De Arbol peppers in this sauce are chopped roughly, giving this sauce a new level of chunkiness. The flavor is also very much different from the Reduxx version but still has that savory mustard profile. This sauce is great for Indian food and will not make your tongue catch fire.
Hot Ones: The Game Show

On February 18, 2020, a spin-off titled Hot Ones: The Game Show premiered on truTV. Hosted by Evans, the series pits two pairs of players against one another for a chance to win up to $25,000. The main game is played in three rounds, using wings that have been cooked in hot sauces whose Scoville ratings increase from one round to the next. Players are not provided with any water or milk to reduce the effects of the wings but are given buckets in which to vomit if necessary.
In each of the first two rounds, the players begin by eating one wing apiece and the host asks three toss-up questions open to all. The first team to buzz in has five seconds to respond a correct answer awards them money, while a miss gives it to the opposing team. Questions are worth $100/$200/$300 in the first round, and these values double to $200/$400/$600 for the second.
In the third round, the players begin by eating one bite of a wing. The host reads a series of clues, and players may buzz in at any time to identify the subject being described. Three puzzles are played, worth $1,000/$2,000/$3,000 the team that scores on each puzzle must then take another bite. In this round, if a team misses, the opponents must give the correct answer in order to score. Both teams keep their accumulated winnings.

Its Host Conquered A Carolina Reaper
Hot Ones couldn’t just stick any ordinary Joe in the hosting seat and keep their fingers crossed they could handle the ensuing heat. No, they needed someone who could prove their worth, and Sean Evans performed. But, proving yourself at a place like Hot Ones means experiencing far more pain than pleasure.
How exactly does one go about embodying the cream that rises to the top? Well, confronting a Carolina Reaper head on is one sure-fire way, and Evans stepped into that Thunderdome battle and left with a victory under his belt. But, that capital “V” didn’t come without battle scars.
Evans documented the firefight alongside Claus Pilgaard, a Danish entertainer known as Chili Klaus, and that dude loves spice. In fact, Evans describes him as “the Michael Jordan of hot chilis.” So, he brought Chili Klaus along for a Carolina Reaper-eating extravaganza at Jimmy’s No. 43 in New York City’s East Village to stare the spice equivalent of death straight in the eyes.
Within seconds of swallowing the peppers, both are covered in sweat, hiccuping uncontrollably, and looking as if they want to curl up into the fetal position. They sip beer to alleviate the burn and try desperately to think themselves into a frosty mindset .
In the end, however, they come out on top, and Evans, deservedly, now sits atop the throne of Hot Ones with a chili-encrusted crown upon his head.
Franks Redhot Buffalo Wings Sauce
Hot sauce and wings are an inseparable couple, I dare say divinely matched. When it comes to chicken wings, Franks RedHot Wing Sauce has been a timeless classic. Its ready-to-use out-of-the bottle sauce featuring the secret ingredient in the initial Buffalo Wings, made in 1964 in Buffalo, New York. If you want your wings extra hot, this is the go-to sauce.
Franks Redhot Buffalo Wing Sauce is a fantastic dipping sauce, perhaps the hottest hot sauce for that. That notwithstanding, you can also drizzle it on a wide range of meals. When its not doing the magic on wings, it can tastefully spice your drumsticks, veggies, chicken salad, beans, burgers, and just about anything and everything. It will bring out that definitive spicy restaurant-style flavor to your home meal.
Its gluten-free and Kosher certified. It delivers spice and heat with a memorable punch.

Tabasco Sauce Variety 4
Tabasco Sauce has a rich history spanning five generations. Edmund Mchellny put together a personal recipe of red peppers, pure vinegar, and salt sourced from Avery Island in a bid to create the hottest hot sauce. Tabascos popularity has grown by leaps and bounds over the years. It comes in a 4-pack containing assorted flavors made from the best selections to suit your taste and requirement.
You may sample the 4-pack package that bundles up four popular flavors into 2-ounce bottles. These four featured hot flavors are classic pepper, green pepper, habanero, and garlic pepper. Alternatively, you may want to go for the original flavor packaged in 12-ounce bottles. You decide.
Tabasco will help bring heat and flavor to your meals. Whether its Bloody Mary, sandwich spreads, chicken wings, or some exotic cuisine, a little bit of Tabasco in the mix will make a big difference, leaving you and your guests yearning for more. Youll find the hot vibes of Tabasco constantly calling whenever mealtimes approach.
Gordon Ramsay Actually Praised One Of The Sauces
Inviting Gordon Ramsay onto a show highlighting food naturally causes anxiety in everyone involved. Onboarding a man known for completely eviscerating the quality of meals he eats likely spells trouble, but Hot Ones knew they needed to sit down with the sultan of slurs to test his tolerance.
Running a successful kitchen, like Ramsay does, involves meticulous preparation, and boy, he arrives prepared. While most guests settle for the water and milk provided, Ramsay brings doughnuts, lemon and lime juice, and antacid. He’s ready to rumble.
Of course, going an entire episode without some kind insult just isn’t Ramsay’s style. At one point, he claims the wings are “getting f***ing smaller and smaller,” and one even “looks like my grandad’s f***ing big toe.” But, he puts his disdain aside for one sauce in particular: the Hot Ones Los Calientes sauce. About 10 minutes into the interview, he actually praises the sauce, saying, “That’s quite nice. I like that. It’s quite zesty.”
Well done, Hot Ones. You pleased the unpleasable.

Sean Evans Surprisingly Was Never A Hot Sauce Guy
Naturally, the host of a show all about hot sauce would have grown up obsessed with the stuff, jonesing for it like an addict, right? Shockingly, no. Evans wasn’t even that much of a wing guy, either. He, like the rest of the Hot Ones crew, thought celebrity interviews had a tendency to quickly turn into a snoozefest, and hot sauce was the antidote that changed everything.
Now that Evans has attained his status as the hot wings guy, just like every other public figure, he faces a lot of frustrating interaction with the public. Not only do most fans assume he loves eating wings all the time, but many insist on treating him to a plate of them an act of generosity Evans, frankly, prefers living without. The truth is, when he’s not watching celebs endure spicy meltdowns, he stays away from not just hot wings, but overly spicy food in general. He even has a decidedly mild signature sandwich proving it.
To make a Sean Evans sandwich, get your hands on a kaiser roll, corned beef, melted Raclette cheese, and coleslaw. Pile that roll high with corned beef, scrape the melted cheese onto the meat, and add a scoop of slaw on top. But wait the masterpiece isn’t finished yet. Add just a dash on Los Calientes hot sauce , and slather the roll with mayonnaise before capping the whole thing. Boom.

Were proud to announce the launch of Hot Ones Fiery Chipotle,a dream hot sauce that we cooked up in the lab with our friends Homeboys Hot Sauce and Heatonist.
Our challenge to Homeboys was simple: Create the perfect turning point sauce for the showsomething with enough kick to get the blood flowing, and an incredible flavor that would make it versatile enough to replace Sriracha and Tabasco on your kitchen counter. He knocked it out the park, balancing chipotle-fueled smokiness with serious heat from habaneros and ghost peppers, plus a hint of sweetness from pineapple and lime.
The sauce debuted in the #5 wing slot on todays new episode with former *NSYNC member Joey Fatone, who gave it his stamp of approval: Thats actually pretty damn good!

Blairs Ultra Death Sauce
Heat Level: 1.1 million SHUs
Still punching over a million Scovilles, Ultra Death can actually be called a sauce, not just an extract of pure pepper madness. The blend starts with the respectable heat of cayenne and works its way up the heat meter, adding serrano and habanero, before finishing off with a flame gun blast from hot jolokia peppers. Its possible Ultra Death has the power to wake the dead. Buy It

The Hottest Fuc*in Sauce
Heat Level: 600k SHUs
Its an inevitable consequence of trying stuff this hot: youre going to say some bad words. Youre going to curse your luck and your mouth and your decision making and the ground you stand on. Thats ok. Its part of the ride. Containing both Scotch Bonnets and African oleoresin, ingesting it is the food equivalent of a hammer to the thumb, youre not responsible for the outburst. Buy It
Da Bomb The Final Answer
Heat Level: 1.5 million SHUs
Da Bomb also makes a sauce called Beyond Insanity, yet this one is hotter. To attempt the Final Answer one must fly past insanity then keep going. More than just an extract, this one includes habaneros, spices and apricot nectar along with the pure pepper heat. But at one and a half million Scovilles, drip it on with a steady, cautious hand. Blairs Mega Death Sauce
Heat Level: 550k SHUs
Note the space between the words, and the a in death. This isnt an offering from Mustaine et al, but it nonetheless rocks the heat pretty hard. The inclusion of molasses here serves to mask the heat on the first hit, but then the habanero and cayenne offer a blaze somewhere in the neighborhood of a black steering wheel in July. Buy It
Cajohns Magma Hot Sauce
Heat Level: 1 million SHUs
If you like your hot sauce with a bit of showmanship, pick up Magma. The suspended oleoresin of capsicum forms a red-hot blob within the clear vinegar base, reminiscent of the once mighty lava lamp. Shake it to incorporate the heat, and tone down the burn to an acceptable level, like a full three steps back from a jet engines exhaust. Buy It
The Best Hot Ones Sauces: In Conclusion
Im already hearing the following:
- This list sucks! How could you leave out ?
- If it werent for , you wouldnt even like hot sauce! It deserves a place on this list!
- is the best ever how did you put on and leave out ?!
With over 100 unique sauces that have appeared throughout the 15 seasons, theres no way Im going to make everyone happy.
Remember, this is just my opinion.
The margins to make the Top 15, to the Top Six Out, to the dozen or so sauces that just missed that list were razor thin.
I had more agony than I thought when I first conceived putting this together.
One sauce I think all fans of the show can agree on is that any best Hot Ones sauces list will never include Da Bomb.
My personal tastes are pretty obvious with my choices: I like for the most part mild and medium heat level sauces that are versatile in their uses.
Fruit based hot sauces are also a favorite. It was a difficult choice for Heartbeats Pineapple to make the main list when Year of the Dog and Skinny Habanero were right on the cusp as well.
Another analysis I took is I think its evident that the hot sauce lineups in the later seasons have been stronger overall.
Only the best make the show and Im glad Im not the one who has to make those choices.
I started this blog in April 2020 and it took me seven months before I was comfortable putting together my first list and it has changed several times with the new seasons that have been added since that time.
