Is The Last Dab Xxx Worth It
This sauce is another variation on an existing, delicious sauce recipe. The only changes have been in the types of peppers, grown to achieve new levels of heat. The flavor is very similar to that of The Last Dab Reduxx, with a similarly high level of usability.
If you like to turn it up to 11 with your hot sauces, then Last Dab XXX should be in your refrigerator. It costs a whopping $20 plus shipping, but these sauces still have a tendency to sell out. Grab a bottle while you still can and enjoy the burn.
Ranked: All The Hot Ones Hot Sauces
Hot Ones hot sauces are both intriguing and scary. Take a look at just how hot they are.
In Hot Ones, a YouTube series under the account name First We Feast, host Sean Evans sits down with a different celebrity guest in each episode, talking with them about their lives and careers. The catch: as they talk, they eat chicken wings, starting with a slightly tangy sauce and working their way up to the kind of hot sauce that could turn you into a fire-breathing dragon. If the celebrity makes it all the way to the tenth and final sauce, they can promote an upcoming project at the end of the episode.
In season 3, the starter hot sauce was a basic sriracha, which is 2,200 Scovilles, a scale that measures the spiciness of peppers or spicy foods. That was followed by Tabasco Original at 2,500 Scovilles. And the final sauce was Blairs Mega Death at 550,000 Scovilles. But things have been progressing rapidly on the spicy scale, and the show now produces its own branded sauces as well.

Now in its ninth season and with close to 7 million subscribers, Evans wants to bring even more pain to the celebrity guests of the show as the gaps between Scovilles widen and the final sauce tips the scales at more than two million.
Heres a look at the 10 hot sauces featured on the latest season, from the least spicy to the last dab.
Is Da Bomb The Hottest Sauce
The basic reality is that Da Bomb Beyond Insanity has a Scoville Heat Unit rating of 135,600 on the Scoville Scale. However, we believe that the sensation is significantly hotter than other sauces that are listed at 1 million SHUs or more. We can sum it up by saying that this is one of the spiciest hot sauces we have ever tasted.

Its Carolina reaper peppersthe second-hottest peppers in the worldand garlic, with a hint of chili powder.
While they may sound like heaven, its going to sting like hell. Theyve added enough ingredients to make the Carolina reapers power diminish quite a bit, but it still has 116,000 Scoville units of heat, so its definitely hot enough to entice your heat-seeking side. For comparison, most tobacco sauces only have a maximum of 30,000 Scoville units. If you are looking for the right lunch box, be sure to check out our selection of the best ones on the market.

The Last Dab Reduxx Scoville & Spiciness
Its really, really spicy. However, the spice does not overpower the delicious, strong flavor. The Last Dab Reduxx has a Scoville rating of 2,000,000 SHUs or higher. This is thanks to the Pepper X Peppers that make up the bulk of the sauce, which were measured at over 3 million SHUs.
See our review of the all-new Last Dab XXX hot sauce here.
I will say that the sensation of eating this hot sauce does not feel quite like 2 million Scovilles unless you over-do it. The heat sneaks up on you, and without some milk on standby, you might be struggling with the intense spice. But we have tasted hotter sauces.
Hot Ones knows what they are doing when curating hot sauces. When a hot sauce is extremely spicy, the flavor needs to match the fiery kick. Otherwise, its all show and no substance.
So, in the Last Dab Reduxx sauce, the flavor is incredibly powerful to match the high heat. What this means is that if you like the flavor , youll be able to put a tiny dab on your food to get the full flavor profile.
But if you accidentally add a big dab? You better have a palate of steel!
The Last Dab Triple X 2000000+ Shus
Now this is how you do a super-spicy hot sauce. The Last Dab Triple X hot sauce is meant to be used, not just to be a novelty. The strong cumin-forward flavor is addictive, and can actually be paired well with foods. We have tasted it many times, and we now have more than one bottle in our current inventory.
This is the sweet spot if you love super-spicy food, though we have some other super-hot sauces we love equally. Simply put, kudos to Hot Ones and Smokin Ed Currie for crafting an insanely hot sauce that actually tastes great.
The Last Dab Triple X comes in at a whopping 2,000,000+ SHUs on the Scoville scale. This is thanks to the Pepper X Pepper variety bred by Ed Currie of the Puckerbutt Pepper Company. Hes the guy responsible for creating the Carolina Reaper pepper. You know, the hottest pepper on the planet. NBD.

Dawsons Original Hot Sauce 82000 Shus
As things heat up, the brands become less well-known. However, Dawsons creates some of the most delectable hot sauces out there, and their Original sauce is among them. We find some of the best sauces are simple, and this one is no exception.
The distinction here is that this hot sauce uses habanero peppers as the first ingredient. If you know about habaneros, youll understand why this brings significantly more heat than the first few sauces on our list. Read our full review of Dawsons Original hot sauce here.
Dawsons takes a significant leap up on the Scoville scale. This hot sauce comes in around 82,000 SHUs on the scale, meaning it is significantly hotter than the stuff you can buy at the store. It also comes at a much higher price tag, but we think it is well worth the price for the premium ingredients and the beautiful design and appearance.
Henry’s Hot Sauce Carolina Reaper
Scoville units: ~1 millionPeppers used: Carolina Reaper
Unlike a lot of these other hot sauces that seem to come from the mind of a slightly insane dude working from his kitchen, Henrys Hot Sauce is courtesy of an honest-to-god Virginia pepper farm. There, in the Shenandoah Valley, is apparently located the most limestone-rich soil for growing the most perfect hot peppersones the Henry family has cultivated from the world over. No surprise, Henrys sauces use 100% homegrown peppers , and are usually based around one single pepper varietal, like Carolina Reaper, their most extreme offering. Buy it here.
Note: if you go to Henry’s website you’ll see Carolina Reaper listed as “limited edition.” This is mainly because making sauces with 100% your own ingredients leads to small batches, not because these products are of the only-100-bottles-made-then-gone-forever nature.

Sauce Bae Skinny Habanero 2500 Scovilles
All natural, this sauce has a tropical pineapple taste, which will add a nice zing to your wings or other foods. It also contains white vinegar, onion, garlic, turmeric, salt, cumin, black pepper, and ginger. The real heat, however, comes from, as the name implies, habaneros as well as jalapenos.
While its sweeter than other hot sauces, some fans will especially love that its low sodium and gluten-free. Its also an option, for particularly daring individuals, to use as a tangy salad dressing with a kick.
Franks Redhot Sauce 450 Shus
Franks RedHot is a true classic, dating back to the early 1900s in Louisiana. It is also credited as a key ingredient in the original Buffalo wing sauce, created in Buffalo, NY.
Now, youll see Franks in supermarkets across the globe and on tabletops in your local chain restaurants. It is undoubtedly tasty, with a simple, aged cayenne pepper recipe that is timeless.
This hot sauce will serve as a baseline, coming in at just 450 SHUs on the Scoville scale. We all know and love Franks, so it is a great comparison for the ungodly heat in the later sauces

Tabasco Hot Sauce 2500 Shus
Another household staple is Tabasco Brand hot sauce. They make a variety of new flavors, branching out from their original recipe, but the original is truly special.
Tabasco can bring a bland meal to life with just a few small dashes. Just three ingredients go into this sauce zingy vinegar, red pepper and salt. The proportions work just right for sandwiches, pizza and pretty much anything else.
The heat level is stepped up a bit for Tabasco, reaching a claimed 2,500-5,000 SHUs on the Scoville scale, depending on the batch. This is tolerable to most but is noticeably spicier than Franks.
Mad Dog 357 Gold Edition
Scoville units: 1 millionPeppers used: Carolina Reaper, scorpion, ghost
David Ashley has been making hot sauces for over 30 years, and his most potent concoction on the market uses a blend of reaper, scorpion, and ghost peppers, plus something called Plutonium Extract. That may sound like something Homer Simpson deals with at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, but its actually Ashleys proprietary extract of peppers from around the globe that counts 9 million on the Scoville scale. The bottle comes with a bullet attached to the neck, and you can decide the implications of that. Buy it here.

Mad Dog 357 Plutonium No9 9000000 Shus
The warnings are plastered across the packaging of Mad Dog 357s Plutonium No. 9 hot sauce . Coming in at a whopping 9,000,000 SHUs, this can hardly be considered an actual condiment.
In fact, it states that this is not to be consumed directly, but rather used only as a food additive. Not just this, but the stuff might need to be heated to 140°F just to get it out of the bottle.
No thanks. This stuff is just too high maintenance for us. We have not bothered buying this sauce, both because it is certainly intolerable to eat, but also because the price is pretty wild. I guess extracting pure capsaicin is a costly process.
This is the end of the road for the hottest hot sauces in the world, but we wont be surprised if someone finds a way to eke out another million Scoville Heat Units in the next batch of liquid misery.
Just when you think youve seen the hottest pepper and the hottest hot sauces, something new breaks the boundaries. We know where our limits are when it comes to pepper heat, but some like it much, much hotter than we do, and we can understand.
We hope this helps you find where your favorite bottle of hot sauce falls on the Scoville scale. Let us know what sauces you love and how hot they are!
Meet Your Maker Death Sauce
Are you seeing a theme here with the names of the hottest hot sauces? Yeah, they all have a theme of death! Well, its no wonder Meet Your Maker Death Sauce is called what its called. After all, its got three different methods of ghost pepper in there , and thanks to its 5 million SHUs, it comes in a coffin container. May you rest in hot sauce peace.

Yellowbird Foods Bliss & Vinegar Sauce
The next sauce combines strawberries, dates, vinegar, coconut, and just a touch of cinnamon. Both Holland and season 16 guest Rob Lowe like the second hot sauce in the lineup and characterize the Yellowbird Bird Foods Bliss & Vinegar Sauceas sweet. The fruity ingredients that blend with organic distilled vinegar and organic red serrano peppers make it so.
Lucky Dog Year Of The Dog Thai Chile Pineapple 29800 Scovilles
Dont let the promise of sweet pineapple fool you: this sauce, from the San Francisco Bay company, is hot, hot, hot. Combining pineapple with a host of other ingredients including honey and lime juice, its the dried red chilies that really spice this sauce up.
Youll also get tastes of earthiness thanks to toasted onion and sesame seeds. But combine the heat with the sour lime, pungent mustard, and sweet pineapple, and it will be a burst of flavours in your mouth.

Puckerbutt Chocolate Plague 690000 Scovilles
Do you really need more of a description here than just the name? Even the image on the bottle is scary enough to make even the most adventurous of hot sauce aficionados cringe in horror at what’s to come.
With almost six times the heat of the already mouth-burning Da Bomb, it is made from 90% pure Chocolate Bhutlah, which is rumored to be some of the worlds hottest peppers. A cross between the bhut jolokia and chocolate douglah, taking a bite of something with this sauce is like setting off fireworks in your mouth.
Promising to offer delicious flavour as well, if youre brave enough, add some to a marinade or drip a few drops into stew if wings arent your thing.
Hoff & Pepper Hoffs Hot Sauce
As Evans and guests creep up the Scoville scale, its difficult not to cringe a little. At number three in the lineup, Hoff & Pepper Hoffs Hot Saucestill isntthat bad.But things are heating up. This sauce mixes jalapeno, habanero, and chipotle chiles with vinegar, clover honey, black mustard seed, dill, and other spices. Evans described it as barbecue sauce with a little kick to it.

Hot Ones The Last Dab Xxx By Heatonist Review
A week and change ago, my latest subscription box from Heatonist came in. Normally, the sauces inside are a secret, only revealed when the box is opened. However, in this one, we knew one of the sauces ahead of time. Guaranteed to be inside was a brand new bottle of the Hot Ones The Last Dab XXX hot sauce. Its the sauce used on the final wing on Hot Ones season 10. So, Ive watched people for a couple weeks try this sauce and have it kick their ass, much like The Last Dab did before. Now, Ive tried 2 different varieties of The Last Dab , though I only documented one of them. These sauces thoroughly kicked my ass. They were far too much for me to handle. The Last Dab XXX claims to be even hotter.
Honestly, everyone, I was afraid of this sauce. Ive had the bottle actually in my possession since Saturday and Ive simply been hemming and hawing, not really wanting to give it a go. I cant say Ive ever been intimidated by food so much before. But, I know what those previous sauces did to my tongue, and its not going to be fun trying this one. Im not here to just blow out my taste buds. But for science for completeness and for you, my audience, I valiantly took another pinkie-swab of the sauce and gave it a go.
I, however, -do- know much better than that. So, all I had was a pinkie-swab. By that, I mean I put my pinkie finger over the top of the bottle, turned it over, turned it back, and then swiped my finger on my tongue.

Dragon In The Clouds 1000000 Shus
Moving into the 7-digit SHU level of heat, the unique Hot Ones / 88 Rising collaboration brought us Dragon In The Clouds in 2019. This hot sauce is unique, but also bizarre and difficult to pair with food. It is brutally spicy thanks to Ghost chiles, and has a bitter, citrusy zest from yuzu.
Basically, we tried the sauce, and that was about the end of its use. Weve heard from some readers that they enjoy the unique flavor, but it just wasnt for us. Especially considering the aggressive heat.
Dragon In The Clouds hot sauce is no joke. Though we have been unable to find an official heat level for the sauce, we assume it comes in right around the 1 million SHU mark on the Scoville scale. Given that the first ingredient is ghost pepper, the sauce most likely hits that mark. It sure feels like it does
