This one is great for those who are giving the egg fast a go, and are interested in trying a new kind of alternative to pasta.

The noodles will be made out of eggs as a base, so youre going to need quite a few of them.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of keto-friendly mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese
  • 2 sticks of string cheese
  • 1 ounce of cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  • Blend the eggs, cream cheese, salt, garlic powder, and pepper together in a magic bullet or blender of your choice
  • Pour the mixture into a butter-greased 8 by 8 pan
  • Bake the mixture for just about 8 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit until it has started to set. Let cool for 5 minutes
  • Using a spatula, gently release the sheet of pasta from the pan
  • Roll up the pasta and slice with a sharp knife into 1/8 of an inch slices
  • Gently unroll and set aside
  • Add separately heated alfredo sauce to the dish, salt and pepper for taste

Remember that it is per 1/2 cup and not the entire jar. A whole jar of marinara will have ~6 servings, which means there are 36 grams of net carbs per jar of marinara sauce.

The first brand Im going to recommend here is Raos. If you havent heard or tried Raos, then youre missing out.

Raos has the lowest carb count of any marinara sauce Ive seen in the grocery store, and add the fact that its probably also the most delicious commercial marinara sauce Ive ever tried.

Raos has four total carbohydrates per 1/2 cup serving with 1 gram coming from dietary fiber, thus leaving only 3 grams of net carbs per 1/2 cup.

As you can see from the macro content of Alfredo sauce, most brands are generally pretty keto-friendly. The big obstacle with staying low carb while eating alfredo sauce is going to come down to portion sizes, because one serving is a bit small, and restaurants especially are known to heavy up their sizes when it comes to alfredo sauce.

One thing to keep an eye on is calories when it comes to alfredo sauce. It tends to be really high in calories. While calories arent going to necessarily take you out of ketosis, theyre still something you should keep relative track of if youre trying to lose weight through ketosis.

Some caveats of alfredo sauce on keto have to do with the brand. Different types of brands might be more likely to have sugar, so youll always want to check the nutrition facts of any sauce you buy just in case.

I recommend buying a block of parmesan cheese and grating it yourself, rather than getting the pre-grated kind.

Pre-grated or shredded cheeses usually have added starches in them that keeps the cheese from sticking together. And these starches will add unwanted carbs to the cheese in the process.

So, if you shred it yourself with a cheese grater, youll keep the carbs as low as possible in the sauce.

Plus, if you end up with extra parmesan cheese, you can use it to make these low carb cheese crackers!

How To Make Keto Tomato Sauce

This sauce really couldnt be simpler to make.

To start, heat a good amount of extra virgin olive oil in a saucepan. To the oil, youll add 2-3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped. You want them finely chopped so that theyll disappear into the sauce.

Then, youll add the tomatoes. I like either crushed or whole tomatoes for this recipe. The whole tomatoes break down into a nice, chunky sauce with the help of a potato masher. Or, you can give them a quick blitz with an immersion blender for the smoothest tomato sauce.

After that, flavor the sauce with a generous pink of salt and dash of oregano. Taste for seasoning, and add more salt as needed. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, and let it cook for a few minutes to develop the flavor. It will be ready after just 10 minutes. But, if youre looking for a thicker sauce , you can let it simmer longer to reduce even more.

What Kind Of Low Carb Pasta Can You Cave With This Keto Bolognese Sauce

You can make your own low-carb pasta at home, following one of the many recipes on the internet. I still have not had a chance to experiment with homemade Keto pasta, but this is definitely on my list. So once I create a good low-carb pasta recipe, that is worth sharing, Ill post it on my blog.
