Want to make this chicken spinach alfredo pasta, too? Its sure to be an instant classic with your family. AND its equally perfect for an easy weeknight dinner as it is for Sunday supper because it only takes 20 minutes to make!

I used penne pasta in this chicken spinach alfredo recipe, so the first thing I did was get the water for the pasta boiling and throw in the dry pasta

PRO TIP: Shave some time off this step with this Instant Pot pasta method. Yes, you really CAN make pasta in your Instant Pot!!

Once the pasta is going, I sliced some chicken breasts into strips, seasoned them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and then cooked them in a skillet over medium-high heat until they were browned and cooked through.

Next I added some minced fresh garlic to sauté for about a minute, and then I poured the Bertolli Creamy Alfredo with Cauliflower & Milk over the top. Finally, I stirred in several handfuls of baby spinach and let it wilt into the sauce.

From there you just top your chicken spinach alfredo off with a sprinkle of finely grated Parmesan cheese, and dinner is served! Easy pasta recipes like this always go over well in my house

I hope its a hit in your home, as well bon appetit!

Important: How Much Vodka To Use

When adding vodka to this sauce, less is more.

The role that vodka plays in this recipe is solely to enhance the flavors of the other ingredients. If you add too much, it will create a bitter taste. Just the right amount will bring out the sweetness of the tomatoes and cream, in a very appetizing way.

3-4 tablespoons is all you need.

Harold McGee, an expert on food chemistry explains:at very low concentrations, around 1% or less, alcohol actually enhances the release of fruity esters and other aroma molecules into the air.

Its also very important to let the vodka fully reduce. Literally, until its almost nothing.

How To Tell If Bertollis Alfredo Sauce Is Gluten

The big mystery behind whether Bertollis Alfredo Sauces are vegan or not is due in part because of the manufacturers caginess regarding its ingredients. According to Bertolli, any pasta sauce products that include gluten ingredients will note the presence of that ingredient somewhere on the label.

Unfortunately, Bertolli thinks this policy means that they dont need to keep an updated list of all their gluten-free products. Furthermore, Bertolli has been very clear that it doesnt test for trace gluten, which may get into pasta sauces if gluten and gluten-free sauce products are produced in the same factory or manufacturing location.

Basically, cross-contamination which is something many vegans already need to worry about is definitely a problem with Bertollis Alfredo Sauces. Theres never a 100% guarantee that any Alfredo sauce from Bertolli will be gluten-free, given the chance of gluten particles getting into individual sauce cans.

That said, you can tell for yourself whether a given Alfredo sauce from Bertolli is gluten-free or not. You simply have to look at the ingredients. The big thing to look for is wheat, which is the only real pasta sauce ingredient that might contain gluten.

Variations On The Recipe

There are a few ways you can make this, and you can add or take our ingredients as you wish. It can be made completely without cheese, if you like. You can also add broccoli to it and make Instant Pot chicken broccoli alfredo with jar sauce.

For the broccoli version, just add your broccoli at the same time you add the noodles. This should make your broccoli tender and tasty and cook it all the way through. Its best to dice the broccoli into small pieces so its easier to eat.

Its okay to use frozen chicken as well for this recipe. To make Instant Pot frozen chicken alfredo with jar sauce, you need to thaw out the chicken. You can do that by placing it in the fridge one or two days ahead of time. Or you can defrost the chicken in the microwave or rest it in a bowl of cold water.

When preparing this dish, it is not a good idea to rinse the chicken. Rinsing it is not necessary, and if you do rinse it, you can spread germs all around and cause contamination.

You can make the alfredo sauce yourself, but that will significantly increase the prep time. If you do make your own sauce, you can still follow the directions above and add the sauce at the same point in the recipe for similar results. A homemade alfredo sauce can be more flavorful, but it can also be tricky to make, so its up to you if you want to take the risk.

Can I Substitute Milk For Heavy Cream In Alfredo Sauce

Easy Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo

There are a variety of different things that you can use to substitute the heavy cream, however, the majority of these ingredients also alter the taste and texture of the dish. Using milk as a replacement for the heavy cream is our favorite option because it does not alter the taste and texture of the alfredo sauce.
