Ways To Use Bloves Smackalicious Sauce
There are so many ways to use Blove sauce. For its true purpose, use it either as a dip with already boiled seafood, or toss it in oven bags along with your seafood and use it as the boiling liquid. Blove herself has made videos on her channel dipping cucumbers into the sauce, while viewers have commented about using it as the base for seafood pasta. Its really just a heavily spiced butter sauce, so you can swap it in any recipe where you might use a simpler one. A Blove fan even mentioned they prefer it on the steak to seafood.

That depends a lot on your own preferences. However, generally, 1 pound of each component works out great. Therefore that would be, 1 pound of shrimp, 1 pound of crab legs, 1 pound of clams, 1 pound of mussels, 1 pound of crawfish etc.
The lobster tails are a bit different as they depend on how many people youre serving. So, if youre serving 4 people then 4 lobster tails may be ideal, if youre serving 2 people, then 2 lobster tails etc.

Highly Requested Garlic Seafood Butter Sauce
I praise God for what he has promised yes, I praise the Lord for what he has promised.
Psalm 56:10 NLT
Several of you asked for the crab boil sauce recipe and as promised, here it is!
I was inspired by Blove on Youtube, but I found that her sauce had a lot of components and it kind of stressed me out lol! So this is MY version of crab boil sauce. It incorporates all of the flavors I love on my seafood. My family loves it and I hope you will as well. It is pretty simple and you likely have the ingredients you need tucked away in your pantry or fridge.
Please note, that I eyeball the ingredients to my liking and you should do the same. If you like more spice, add more cayenne pepper. If you dont want to lessen any sweetness, decrease the amount of brown sugar.
I like to pour the sauce over my crab boil and reserve some for dipping.
With that said, I hope you enjoy!

Preparation And Cooking Tips
- Use fresh seafood if possible for the best results! Buy them the same day you plan to cook them. But if you really must, frozen seafood can also be used.
- Make sure to follow the steps below when preparing your crab. This method ensures that they do not shed their claws while being cooked. For more tips on choosing the right crab, check out my Crabs in Coconut Milk recipe.
- Check if your potatoes are fully cooked by piercing them with a toothpick or fork. If it slides through easily in the center, then they are good to go.
- Do not overcook your seafood or they will turn rubbery and tough.
- You can opt to remove the shrimp shell before cooking. I like them shell-on as it allows more sauce to cling to them.
- Remove any mussel or clam that did not open up during cooking before serving.
How Long To Boil Seafood
- Potatoes: I cooked the baby red potatoes for 14 minutes but cook them until tender and then remove them from the stockpot.
- Lobster: 5-8 minutes.
- Crab and Corn: 5 minutes.
- Sausage: 2 minutes.
- Shrimp: 1 minute.
Once youre done cooking the seafood in batches, get started on the lemon garlic butter sauce. Add the butter to a skillet and cook over medium heat. Add the onions and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in the fresh minced garlic, old bay seasoning, paprika, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Check for seasoning and pour the sauce over the seafood or place it in a small bowl. Dip the seafood into the sauce and enjoy!

How To Make A Seafood Boil On The Stovetop
Just like my previous seafood boil recipe, I will NOT be making this deliciousness outside. I will be making it on my stovetop! Unlike my previous recipe I will be using more seafood. sure I will still be using crab, and shrimp, but I will also be tossing in some lobster tails as well!
Also once our ultimate seafood boil is done, we are going to drizzle some delicious creole garlic sauce all over the crab, potatoes, corn, lobster, shrimp, and andouille sausage.
Cook The Vegetables Potatoes And Sausage
You can keep your seafood waiting in the fridge for a bit, because the vegetables, potatoes, and sausage are first up. Grab your stockpot and your strainer. A strainer fitted to the size of your stockpot will make your life easier when working through the different stages of cooking, but you’re not entirely out of luck if you don’t have one. Just be prepared to pick out some ingredients halfway through.
“You need to separate the food from the liquid, and a strainer is the best way,” Chen says. “However, a large slotted spoon would work as well.”
Add 4 quarts of water and 48 ounces of a light beer to the stockpot along with the Old Bay, salt, lemons, garlic, and onions. Bring the mix to a boil and then drop in the strainer, if you’re using one, before adding the potatoes, sausage, and corn. Cook it all for about 15 minutes you’ll know it’s done when the potatoes are tender.

The Idea Behind This Shrimp Boil
The idea of a shrimp boil came into my life when I was at a cabin this summer and my sister, who has 4 young kidlets , made dinner for my entire family of 18+ people without even breaking a sweat. What did she make? A SHRIMP BOIL.
She told me that she makes it all the time at home because its super easy and her whole family loves it.
And at that point I was like, why havent I been doing this for my whole life.
I promptly went home and bought some Cajun seasoning and a container of Old Bay and got to work infusing my melted butter with thinly sliced garlic and a few sprigs of thyme. Why oh why oh why is it so good?
Where Can I Buy Blove Sauce
After her video went viral, Blove created a seasoning pack that quickly became a bestseller on . She eventually introduced a spicy version as well. There is no bottled version of the sauce, but this seasoning mix lends to a variety of uses on top of creating its signature sauce. The mixture is also available in-store at some Walmarts, Whole Foods and Targets.

What Goes In A Seafood Boil
Now that we talked about the base of the seafood boil lets talk about what goes into it. There really are no rules as to what goes in. There are some classic items but its always best to make it your own – place the things you love in it and that you will enjoy. Its always good to have all your ingredients ready before hand – which will make this seafood boil even faster to make and ensure you dont overcook the seafood. Here is a list of the most common seafood boil items:
Combine All Of The Ingredients And Serve
All that’s left to do now is combine the seafood and corn with the rest of the sausage and potatoes. You can dump the rest of the cooking liquid once you’ve removed the strainer with the seafood or taken the ingredients out with a slotted spoon.
Cut up a couple of lemon wedges to serve alongside the food, and you’ve got a hearty meal that’s perfect for spreading out on the table and it’s especially perfect for enjoying outdoors when the weather is nice.

Spicy Seafood Boil Recipe
Spring and summer are perfect for big get-togethers and shareable meals. Standbys like barbecued meats and various versions of potato salad often get top billing at these events, but few meals with mass appeal can satisfy like a giant seafood boil.
The boils are relatively hard to mess up, and have a big mix of ingredients that are easily combined and enjoyed together, yet the ingredients are also diverse enough for picky eaters to choose their favorites out of the lot.
This recipe from Beth Chen of Bon Aip/Petit is centered around three different types of shellfish, plus andouille sausage, corn, and potatoes that get their flavor from a number of aromatics and spices. “This is a great recipe for a party or cookout because it’s easy, serves a lot, and it’s pretty hands-off once you’ve done the prep,” Chen says.
So the next time you’re debating what food to feature at your next party, look no further than this spicy seafood boil.
Seasoning For Seafood Boil
Its no secret that seasoning is the key to a good seafood boil. First, youll need a hearty helping of garlic, sautéed in melted butter. Be generous with the Old Bay seasoning, the classic Southern mix thatll give your sauce both flavor and color. Because we love a spicy seafood boil, well be stirring in cayenne pepper, lemon pepper and red pepper flakes, with the milder taste of paprika to balance things out. Imagine the aroma in your kitchen when it all comes together!

This Recipe For The Garlic Butter Seafood Sauce Is Amazing
You will love it! Make it super spicy, or not so spicy by adjusting your cayenne and red pepper flakes. You MUST add the Old Bay seasoning though, it gives it that amazing tangy flavor that pairs beautifully with your seafood.
You will need a large stock pot to cook everything in, and then it’s on and poppin’! Trust me, you haven’t experienced seafood until you add this sauce!!
There’s nothing like cracking that shell open in the right spot and pulling out the WHOLE, juicy piece of crab meat. Then when you add in your corn-on-the-cob, sausage, and shrimp, it’s a whole meal!
Now that my mouth is watering…. enjoy this recipe!
Collect Ingredients For The Seafood Boil:
Collect all of the items you need before you get started. It makes cooking so much easier! Here is what you will need:
- Seafood: crab legs, shrimp, and any other seafood you like.
- Sausage: feel free to omit this ingredient if you are not a fan. Beef sausage was used for this recipe. Some of my audience have used chicken sausage, and even meatless sausage as a substitute.
- Potatoes: red potatoes are best because they hold-up and do not get so mushy. Regular potatoes can be used if that’s what you have. Just cut the boil/cooking time a bit because they will get mushy.
- Corn on the cob- frozen works just fine. Fresh corn on the cob can be used as well. Although you do not have to, you can cut it in half for more servings.
- Optional additions: boiled eggs- don’t knock-it until you try it! Some people have sent me pictures of broccoli, and other veggies that they have added. I love it, get creative and make what you like!
