    Tips For The Best Wings

    • Gather all the ingredients before cooking. Ensuring everything you need is within reach will speed up the cooking process.
    • Make sure the wings are dry so that they crisp up nicely. After washing, pat them dry with a piece of dry cloth.
    • For even more flavor, bake the wings again after coating for about 10 minutes. The sauce caramelizes during baking, making the wings a hundred times more delightful.
    • Adjust the heat by adding your choice of seasonings.
    • Dredge the wings lightly with baking powder or flour before baking for crisper skins. Dont worry, the wings wont taste starchy at all.
    • Bake the wings on a rack so that the fat from the chicken is drained properly. If the fat has nowhere to go, it stays in the pan and prevents the skin from crisping up.
    • Instead of baking, you can also deep-fry the wings at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
    • For a sweeter sauce, throw in a bit of honey into the mix.
    • Do not reheat leftover wings in the microwave as they get too mushy. Instead, bake them in the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 15 minutes. Dont go beyond that or theyll turn rubbery.

Buffalo chicken dip is a family favorite at my house. In fact, we eat it on all the major holidays and occasions, for a late night snack, and every time we have to take a dish to a potluck or party. This is our go-to recipe because it has a whole lot of flavor, but it’s so mild that even kids can partake.

My Family Loves This Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

    Frank

If you like buffalo wings in traditional buffalo wing style, heres a recipe for you!

My friend, Morgan, had been talking about this dip for quite some time before I actually asked her for the recipe. And when my sisters family was here over Thanksgiving weekend, I decided to give it a shot. After feeding the kids lunch, Blake and I sat down with Jessica and her husband, Scott, to a big bowl of this dip and a variety of dippers. Thats all I made for our big kids lunch. And we were happy as all get-out. It was every bit as delicious as Morgan had described, and we devoured it in no time.

Buffalo chicken dip takes minutes to whip up! However, if your planning ahead and dont want to get the mixer dirty heres how you can freeze Buffalo Chicken Dip.

To Reheat: Thaw dip and bake as directed.

I do not recommend freezing already baked buffalo chicken dip as the more you reheat buffalo sauce the more prone itll be to separate and get greasy.

Follow These Steps To Store It And Reheat It Later

    How to make ahead?

Mix the dip in a baking dish or skillet, cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to a day. Leave at room temperature for at least an hour before baking.

How long is it good for in the refrigerator?

Leftover dip can be refrigerated for about 3 days. Simply microwave before serving.

    Can you freeze?

Sure! Freeze in a sealed container and remove from the freezer few hours before you want to reheat and allow to thaw then add to the microwave to reheat or into an oven safe dish.

Can I use blue cheese dressing instead of Ranch?

We loved the flavor using ranch when compared to blue cheese for this recipe.

Recipe for Buffalo Chicken Cheese Dip Using Frank’s Red Hot Wing Sauce

Franks Red Hot Wings Buffalo Sauce This is my sauce of choice for both chicken wings and Buffalo Chicken Dip. Its a ready made buffalo wing sauce that is a bit milder than Franks Original. It will still give your dip a nice kick with a spice level of about 3 out of 10 on my heat scale. I think its more suitable for a group and it has that true Buffalo wings flavor that really adds a lot to the dip.

These instructions are super easy to follow, and you can make this buffalo chicken dip up in less than 40 minutes. And that includes the cooking time! Serve it up hot. Your guests are going to go crazy for it!

  • Cook and shred the chicken: Cook and shred the chicken breasts ahead of time. To make it easy then use store-bought rotisserie chicken. Another easy tip is to use your instant pot to cook your chicken so it is ready to go when you assemble the dip.
  • Preheat oven and prep dish: Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a 9X9 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  • Combine and melt: In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, add the cream cheese, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and garlic powder. Then, continue to stir and cook until the cream cheese melts and the ingredients are combined.
  • Remove from heat: Remove the sauce from heat. Then, add the shredded chicken and 1 cup shredded Colby-jack cheese. Mix well to combine.
  • Transfer: Transfer to your prepared baking dish and top with remaining ½ cup Colby-Jack cheese.
  • Bake: Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  • Garnish: Top with blue cheese and diced green onion if you desire! Serve with carrot sticks, celery sticks, tortilla chips, crackers, or a sliced baguette.
  • We’ve Got A Recipe From The Executive Chef At Franks Redhot For A Classic Dip That Eats Like A Meal

What do extremely sturdy potato chips, tortilla chips, pita wedges, bagel chips, crackers, carrot sticks, celery sticks, sliced radishes, zucchini chips, sliced bell peppers, mozzarella sticks, your fingers, pizza rolls, sliced sausages, pork rinds, chicken wings and deep-fried anything have in common?

They all taste better when coated with the cheesy, creamy, poultry-y flavor of a Buffalo chicken dip.

If you arent familiar, Buffalo chicken dip is essentially hot wings distilled down into a gooey, warm, one-pan snack that pairs well with almost anything you could conceivably dunk into it. Also, like Buffalo wings, it goes quite well with beer and football.

I think this dish came about as another way to get the great taste of Buffalo chicken in a format thats shareable and easy to make. The recipe itself is just cooked chicken thats been shredded, cream cheese, Franks RedHot, ranch dressing and bleu cheese crumbles, explains executive chef Kevan Vetter of McCormick & Company, which now counts Franks as a major piece in its fast-growing portfolio of hot sauces. There are really only five ingredients, so its easily customizable as well. People can swap the cheeses and customize this recipe to suit their own flavor preference and make it just the way they like it.

Somewhat of a hybrid that combines nachos with hot wings, Buffalo chicken dip is a Super Bowl favorite that is starting to make a push to become more of a year-round option.
