    This creamy tomato pasta recipe is super easy, but here are a few tips to make sure its absolutely perfect every time!

    • Cooking pasta. Dont forget to season the water with plenty of salt before adding in the pasta otherwise this dish may taste under-seasoned. As a general rule of thumb, I add 1 teaspoon salt per 4 cups of water.
    • Prosciutto. Prosciutto is an Italian style dry-cured ham that is available in the deli area of most grocery stores. You could substitute with regular bacon or pancetta, which will give this a sauce a similar flavor.
    • Tomatoes. I prefer to use Italian San Marzano tomatoes in this dish for the most authentic flavor. This type of tomato can be found in large cans with the rest of the tomato products.
    • Half & half. Instead of heavy whipping cream, were using half & half for this tomato cream sauce. Half & half is much lower in fat than heavy cream, but will give this sauce enough creaminess that youll never even notice. You can definitely substitute with heavy cream or even whole milk, if preferred.

    How To Make Chicken Alfredo

    CHICKEN. The first step is seasoning your chicken with salt and pepper. Heat the oil on a skillet over medium high heat. Cook the chicken on each side until browned. About 7-8 minutes per side.

    Let the chicken rest on a plate for 10 minutes. Slice the chicken and set aside while you make the pasta and sauce.

    ALFREDO SAUCE & NOODLES. Using the same skillet, add the milk, broth, and garlic. Add the salt and pepper and bring to a simmer. Add in your dry pasta noodles and stir around for 3 minutes. Continue cooking the noodles for 8 minutes.

    Add in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese and stir everything to combine. Simmer until the sauce thickens .

    GARNISH. Stir in the chicken and serve! Garnish with a little fresh parsley and more parmesan cheese. You can never have too much cheese with your Alfredo sauce.

    You can also use different kinds of pasta. Try bowtie or penne if youre wanting a smaller bite. I also love using angel hair pasta. However you cook this dish, I know its going to become one of your favorites too!

    Broccoli or asparagus are great options and both taste great. Really anything would taste good with these cheesy cream sauce on top of it.
