Are you familiar with Sriracha? It’s a Thai hot sauce made from a paste of chili peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt, and is typically 1g net carbs per teaspoon. I was at the store the other day and saw they had sriracha. Having heard a lot about it and never had it I decided I’d try it if it was a fit for keto. I selected Huy Fong foods sriracha hot chili sauce. I did this because after looking at the back of the bottle under nutrition facts all I saw were a bunch of zeros, save for the sodium at 3 percent. Total sugar says 0! I took it home, tried it and immediately fell in love. This was the gift I’d been waiting for. This was salvation from business as usual. However, upon further inspection of the bottle I see the ingredients list sugar 2nd. I am confused. How can this be!? Have I been deceived? Am I a fool? Is there so little sugar they aren’t required to list it? Wtf?
In other news I’ve been doing keto for 2 1/2 months now and I’ve lost about 20 pounds. Will soldier on even if it means cutting sriracha out of my life.

Can You Eat Sriracha Hot Sauce On The Keto Diet
You are probably trying your hardest to follow the keto diet, but you also love the spiciness of sriracha hot sauce. So, is there a middle ground where you get to enjoy both? Well, first that depends on the type of sriracha hot sauce. From the type of pepper used to the amount of sugar, and the type of thickener that they used.
