Ingredients For Raspberry Cream Cheese Jalapeno Poppers
Not only are these jalapeno poppers easy to make, but they only contain a few ingredients. Anytime a recipe calls for 5 ingredients or less, its a winner in my book. Heres what youll need to pick up from the store prior to making these yummy treats:
- 9 medium jalapenos
- 4 oz. softenend cream cheese
- 1/4 cup raspberry jam/jelly
- 18 slices bacon
Thats seriously it! These poppers sound much more difficult than they really are. And bonus for you: they taste and look incredible, and your guests will assume you spent oodles of time and energy making them .
Raspberry Habanero Pepper Jelly
I make large batches of this for Christmas baskets. You can make it as hot or mild as you like but I use at least 4 habaneros. Pour it over a block of softened cream cheese and serve with crackers use as a glaze for ham or pork great on a ham sandwich.

Yield 10-12 4 oz. jars
Number Of Ingredients 8
3 -5 habanero peppers, deseeded and membranes removed |
2 sweet red peppers |
1 sweet green pepper |
12 ounces frozen raspberries, defrosted and put through a food mill with fine disc |
2 1/4 cups water |
1 cup vinegar |
1 3/4 ounces sure-jel dry pectin |
4 cups sugar |
Steps:
- Chop up peppers in a processor until they are chopped fine. Put all but ¼ cup peppers in a saucepan with raspberries and water. Bring to a boil cover and reduce heat to simmer and cook 15 minutes. Press through a sieve or a jelly bag. You should have 2 cups prepared juice. .
- Return juice to a clean pot. Add vinegar and reserved chopped peppers. Cool 15 minutes.
- Add pectin. Bring to a boil add sugar. Bring back to a boil and boil hard for 2 minutes. Remove from heat skim foam.
- Ladle into hot ½ pint jars leaving 1/8″ headspace.
- Seal process in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes .
- Note: jelly might be liquidy at first, but gels over the next 1 or 2 days.
- I usually get anywhere from 10-12 of the 4 oz. jars.

Im not much of a football guy anymore. Somewhere along the line I had to make a choice of spending the day watching football or heading out hunting. I chose hunting. That doesnt mean I wont sit and watch a game. The games I watch are usually after hunting is done.
This weekend is the Super Bowl. Like every Super Bowl in my lifetime, the Vikings arent playing in it. I really dont have any interest in the game itself, but I am always interested in the commercials and the spectacle of the whole thingand the food.

Tgi Friday’s Jack Daniels Sauce
The Jack Daniels® grill glaze is one of the most scrumptious sauces you will ever taste on just about any meat. Introduced in April of 1997, this glaze has become one of Friday’s best-selling items. This versatile sweet-and-slightly-spicy sauce can be ordered on salmon, baby back ribs, steak, chicken, pork chops…even on chicken wings.

1 cups dark brown sugar |
1 cup pineapple juice |
3 tablespoons minced white onion |
1 tablespoon bourbon whiskey |
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F .
- Cut about 1/2-inch from the top of the garlic head. Trim the roots so the garlic sits flat. Remove some of the outer layers of papery skin from the garlic, leaving enough so that the cloves stay together. Put garlic into a small casserole dish or baking dish, drizzle olive oil over it, and cover with a lid or aluminum foil.
- Roast garlic in preheated oven until the cloves are soft, about 1 hour.
- Stir brown sugar, pineapple juice, water, teriyaki sauce, and soy sauce together in a saucepan and bring to a boil reduce heat to low and keep at simmer.
- Squeeze sides of the garlic until the pasty roasted garlic emerges. Measure 2 teaspoons roasted garlic into the saucepan and incorporate into the sauce with a whisk. Reserve remaining roasted garlic for another use.
- Stir lemon juice, white onion, bourbon whiskey, pineapple, and cayenne pepper into the sauce bring to a simmer and cook until the volume of the liquid reduces by half and is thick and syrup-like, 40 to 50 minutes.

Poppers With Wild Game
A couple of years ago I wanted to find a way to add some wild game to my Poppers. Ive read recipes for dove poppers and duck poppers, even venison poppers. Basically, you cut a hunk of meat stuff it inside the jalapeño and wrap it in bacon. Theyre perfectly delicious, and simple. I prefer a version that includes cream cheese filling and thats wrapped in bacon.

Baked Cream Cheese Jalapeno Poppers Recipe
There are only 3, count em 3, ingredients: cream cheese, raspberry preserves, and chipotles in adobo sauce. I didnt actually use the chipotle peppers . Instead I just used the sauce the peppers come in, adobo sauce.
Stir together cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, ranch seasoning mix, jalapenos, bacon, onion, and parsley until combined. Evenly spread into an 8×8 baking dish. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, top with the remaining cheese and bacon, return to oven for 5 additional minutes or until cheese is completely melted.
Make the jalapeno poppers. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and 1 Tablespoon of sweet rub. Use the back of the spoon to press the filling mixture into each half of the cleaned out peppers and then press the pepper halves back together.
We love the combination of cream cheese and sharp cheddar cheese for our jalapeño poppers. I prefer buying the cheddar cheese as a brick and shredding it myself, however, if you need to save on time, you can buy your cheese pre-shredded. I think raspberry jam goes perfectly with the jalapeño, but you can use other flavors also.
Add softened cream cheese and mayo to a mixing bowl and beat with a hand mixer until smooth and combined. Add 1/2 the bacon, jalapenos, green chiles, cumin, and mexican and mozzarella cheeses. Transfer to prepared dish, smooth out with a rubber spatula. Combine melted butter, panko, and Parmesan cheese.

Place the smokie on top of the cream cheese. Wrap the half slice of bacon around the jalapeno. If the bacon is not staying tightly wrapped, it may be necessary to use a toothpick to hold it in place. Smoke the ABTs in the smoker, set at 225F, for 2-3 hours, or until the bacon is browned.

How To Prepare Jalapenos
First, put on gloves unless you really trust yourself around peppers! I am a contact wearer, and if Im not careful I will burn my eye. The oils are really hard to get off by just washing your hands afterwards.
Cut them in half, lengthwise but leave the stem intact if you can. You wont eat that part, but its kinda fun to keep it for appearances, plus it gives you something to hang onto while you eat them.
The membranes and seeds are where most of the spiciness is, so use a small spoon and scoop them out.

A copycat recipe of Friday’s yummy sauce, to eat with chicken fingers. Reviews on other sites recommend leaving out the vinegar, as it makes it too runny for dipping, although should likely leave in when using as dressing. While I haven’t tried this copycat recipe yet Friday’s Honey Mustard appeals to me because it has more of a honey taste and less mustard. Good for kids.

Jalapeno Popper Chicken With Bronco Berry Dipping Sauce
On one of my cheat days, before I realized that cheat days are intended for those of you who do NOT suffer from an auto-immune disease, I decided to make a trip to Arbys for some of their spectacular jalapeno poppers. The only kind of poppers I will put my gut at risk for are the kind filled with cream cheese. Im not sure why these spicy little critters have such a hold on me, but I will almost always cheat for a cream cheese popper. Dont judge.Arbys serves their Jalapeno Poppers with a Bronco Berry dipping sauce. Ironically, there are no berries anywhere in the list of ingredients. There is, however, plenty of sugar, corn syrup, and food coloring. Regardless of how terrible for my tummy those poppers were, I could not stop dreaming about them. Seriously. Drooling day and night for some of those things. So I took matters into my own hands. And I came up with a recipe even more satisfying than the treats I splurged on. Completely Paleo. Well, completely Lacto-Paleo, I should say. I even recreated the Bronco Berry dipping sauce. No artificial coloring, and made with real berries! Youre welcome.
Great. Now Im drooling for some of this chicken.
