How To Mince Garlic
There are several ways to mince raw garlic. The most common way to mince garlic is to chop it with a knife repeatedly until you have very fine pieces. Hand chopping is convenient and all you need is a knife. But if youre looking for a really nice garlicky flavor, a microplane will do a better job.
A microplane will create wonderful bits of garlic that look almost pureed. Smaller bits of garlic will infuse more evenly into the butter. That means more garlic flavor.
If you dont have a microplane but still want the incredible flavor that it can provide, then you can use a garlic press or a mortar and pestle. Technically a garlic press or mortar will crush garlic rather than mince it. But the result will be the same: more garlic flavor.

Cut 2 pounds thick-cut New York strip steaks into 1-inch cubes and season with 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Melt 1 stick unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium high-heat. Add steak cubes and sear until browned, flipping them halfway through, 6 to 8 minutes total. Add 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper and 4 cloves minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Remove from the heat and garnish with 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves.

- To Freeze: Keep it tightly wrapped in wax paper and then place in a ziplock bag or plastic, freezer-safe container for up to 6 months.

How To Make Herb Butter:
Make sure all fresh herbs are washed and completely dried before cutting them and adding them to the recipe.

To softened butter set it at room temperature for 30 minutes. Cut butter in smaller cubes to speed the process. Or microwave butter at 10% power for 10 seconds. Continue until its room temperature. Watch it closely so it doesnt get too soft!
STEP 1: Mince garlic, chop , or chiffonade herbs. My husband uses sharp kitchen scissors when he cuts herbs, I like to use a knife.

STEP 3: Stir. Herbs should be mixed through.

Greek Garlic Butter Roasted Potatoes
